Ever wanted to run away and join the circus? On 9th October 2024, why not spend the day shooting with a real life circus troupe in their own big top!

The theme for the day is ‘The Golden Age’ - Step into the dazzling era of show business. Set in the 1920’s, the first world war is over, and the age of entertainment has arrived. From cinema to theatre, the entire showbiz world is buzzing. Our styling for the day will sparkle, with art deco styling, and just a touch of drama—what more could you want?

About The Day

We will have five performers with us on the day and have been guaranteed an aerial hoop/straps performer and a tightrope walker. The rest of our wonderful cast will be male and female, and will include some of the following, all whilst wearing incredible, bespoke, 1920's costumes:

You will be in a group of 4 except for when you are working at the stage area with our two stage performers. During this set you will be a group of 8 shooting in pairs on a timed basis. This way of shooting is to maximise our time, the range of stunts/poses captured, and preserve the performers energy. You will do five hour-long sets during the day, two of which will be at the stage. We will be using the backstage area, dressing rooms, stalls and outside the big top for our other sets, meaning you will take away a selection of images that evoke the full circus experience. You will rotate around the sets and work with all our performers. We will need to be mindful that circus performing is taxing on the body and our performers will need some breaks during the sets.

We will have a lighting technician working the stage lights, and Simon Carter will be on hand with flash and continuous lighting in the other areas. There will be assistance for lighting, composition and camera settings available on the day.

Our Themes

These are some sketches by the troupe's costume designer which show what we could expect to see on the day. As you can see we are in for  treat! Stunning, twenties inspired outfits with sparkle, feathers and exquisite details.

The cost for the day? A great value £275 which includes all performers fees, venue fees, lighting, assistance and snacks on the day. A deposit of £75 secures your slot with the remainder due 28 days before.
